Puppy Love [Germany x Reader]

Ludwig and I were next door neighbors our who school lives. Our parents met at each others houses every Sunday, bringing one of us to play with the other.

We would play in the sprinklers together in the summer, kick my older brother's soccer ball around in the fall (I loved the sound of the fallen leaves crunching underneath the black and white ball), and make snow forts in the winter.

In 3rd grade he admitted he thought I was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen and he gave me a bright blue cornflower once I agreed to be his girlfriend. We started holding hands and he left little kisses on the back of my hand, while I kissed his cheeks just to see him blush.

Once we started middle school, Ludwig 'proposed' to me like adults would and put a 5 cent ring on my finger once I said yes. We shared our first kiss on the lips which lasted only a moment, but left us both red and speechless afterwards.

He took me to senior prom and he matched his tie with my dress. We danced under the bright disco ball in a dark room filled with teenagers to Whitesnake. That was when I truly saw the love and care in his bright blue eyes, and I kissed him with all the passion and love I had.

Two years after graduation, we got married. I still remember walking down the aisle with a bouquet of cornflowers. I remember seeing him cry, for the first time, when he saw me. I would've comforted him if there weren't tears in my eyes as well.

Today, we share the same last name with two beautiful children that, surprisingly, don't mind going for small jogs in the morning with us. Every time I look into his eyes, I am reminded that I am loved.
